It is with sadness that I share the news that Albert “Big Al” Payne ‘80 passed away on February 18, 2026. I am working to get his obituary and the date of the service. I will share when I receive.
Albert was in the Print Shop. He was on the football, wrestling, and track teams. He sang in the Chorus and was on the student council. His nickname was Big Al.
Albert didn’t have any brothers or sisters attending SSVC.
Thank you for keeping Albert’s fiancé and family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you, Christian Bruce ’80 and Barb Estep ’82 for sharing the sad news about Albert. He will be missed by many.
