SSVC Taps: Ray Harrold ’67 passed away 1/27/26

It is with sadness that I share the news that Ray Harrold ’67 passed away January 27, 2026.

 

 

Ray chose the Machine Shop as his trade.  He was on the football and track teams

 

Ray along with his brother Sam ’65 and Jessie ’68 attended SSVC.  Sam is deceased.

 

Obituary

 

In loving memory of Ray Harrold of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on January 27, 2026 at the age of 77.  Ray leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

 

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Ray’s spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. He is survived by: his girlfriend Josie Grimm; his brother Jess Harrold (Cathy) of Ruffsdale; and his sibling’s children, Tracy Murtha (Bernie) of Mount Pleasant, Joseph (Nicole) of Scottsdale, Cole Murtha of Mount Pleasant and Tammy (John) of Youngwood, PA.
