Winebrenner has graciously given the laundry/storage building to the SSVC Alumni Association for our museum. The building contains about 8,000 square feet of space and will be leased to the Association. We will also be accountable for utilities, maintenance and other costs associated with the building. The task of renovating and maintaining the museum will cost a considerable amount of money. Before we can move items from Cottage 3, must survey the exterior and interior needs. We already know the roof needs some attention and bricks, down spouting, doors, etc. are in need of repair. Likewise, we must develop a design for the interior. This includes partitions, air conditioning, flooring, and other undertakings. As you can see, we are on the right track to preserving our school’s history and heritage so Scotland School will never be forgotten after we are gone.
This project will take financial support. Any and all donations are appreciated. Donations can be made at any time. If contributing with a check, make payable to SSVC Alumni Association and designate on the memo line “Museum Project”.
