Edie Stauffer Mixell ‘41:  Edie enjoyed her 93rd birthday on October 22, 2014, filled with cards and calls from family and friends. Edie also recalled on October 22, 1938 there was enough snow at SOS (SSVC) for the kids to be off for about a week!

 Doris Deal Siler ‘46: Doris and her husband Harold celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on September 22, 2014.  Doris enjoys fresh lobster, lives in Atascadero, CA and still keeps in touch with Martha “Marty” Donahue who lives in Clearwater, FL.

Wanda McKay Shoap ‘68: Wanda sends her thanks for the prayers of comfort and cards sent to her brother Robert McKay ‘66 for the loss of his wife, Elizabeth in January 2015.

Fred Robinson ‘70:  Fred’s love of children and sports led him to his present position of executive director for Team Youth organization and Therapeutic Mentoring organization in Maryland, Fred has four adult children, ages 28-38 and five grandchildren. Fred keeps busy with his family and his work!

Mike Smith ‘70:  Mike wants to send his thanks to everyone at the school and everyone else that had sent him get well cards and was praying for him. Mike has come a long, long way since his accident in February. Mike was able to attend the picnic in September and “Homecoming”.  Hopefully he will be able to come to Reunion also!

 Deb Shenk Yingling ‘71: Deb’s living in Johnstown, is married and has a son and a daughter and four beautiful granddaughters. Deb has had an interesting career including owning a video store for 10 years, working in a bank and is thinking about retiring. Sound like Deb wants more time with her granddaughters!  Deb said she is also happy to reconnect with some of her classmates. Aren’t we all?!

John Douts ‘72:  John lives in Anchorage, Alaska, has been there since 1977 thanks to Uncle Sam’s Air Force. John spent seven years in the Air Force and 32 years with Bureau of Land Management (BLM). His wife, Kristia Is from Nebraska. They have three children, six grand children and one great grandchild on the way. John retired on December 31, 2011 and is awaiting Kristia’s retirement. Hope that means John will have more time to visit his family and friends in the lower 48.

 Jeff Shenk ‘73Jeff Shenk is doing great. Jeff travels a lot and lives in Ft Lauderdale Fla. Jeff has two daughters and a beautiful little granddaughter. We’re happy for Jeff and his family.

Class of 1974 from Ken Beck:  Ken is looking for all members of 1974 who are able to return for Reunion to come on back!

Bob Krieger ‘75:  Just a reminder Class of 1975, this is our 40th Reunion. Help make it special by planning to come back for Reunion in June. Would love to see as many of us as possible! 40 is a very special number. Let’s try for 40 or more of our class members!

Dennis Ero ‘88 and Lisa Dawn Beers Ero ‘92:  A big congratulations to Lisa and Dennis on their marriage on July 14, 2014.  Dennis proposed to Lisa on campus, right in front of the chapel.  They were high school sweethearts while at Scotland. Sounds like they have a “happily ever after” ending . They live in Somerset, PA. Again, congratulations, Dennis and Lisa!

Marcleave Mitchell ‘95:  Marcleave has found a calling working at a  Juvenile Justice Center in Philadelphia. He balances work with his family. Sounds like Marcleave’s got his life together!

Consuela Newhams ‘03:  Consuela recently moved to North Carolina and has two sons, Tobias and Jerome. Hope all is going well for Consuela!

Melissa Flick Albaugh ‘97: Melissa recently earned a Masters of Science in Washington DC, graduating in July 2014.  She continues to serve our country in uniform; 12 years and counting in the Army.  Melissa wishes all her Scotland brothers and sisters well.  Thank you for your service, Melissa!

Jesse Morit ‘04:  Jesse has met the love of his life, Kristen Marie and has two beautiful children (boy 3 years old, girl 8 years old) Mason and Olivia. They make their home in Shenandoah, PA. Jesse has one more year in college (Welding Technology). When school is completed, Jesse and his family plan to buy a home in the country in western PA. Good luck, Jesse with all your goals. We are betting you will accomplish every one of them! Jesse’s sister, Erin Morit ‘04 lives in Shenandoah, PA also.
