The following are addresses if you would like to send a note/card of sympathy.
Robert (known as ‘Pat’ to his brothers and sister) was born March 17, 1949, to the late Harold and Madeline in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He attended Scotland School for Veterans Children in Chambersburg PA, where he graduated at the top of the class in 1967. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971 and joined the United States Navy following graduation. He served 6 years of active duty as a part of the “Silent Service” including assignments to the USS Nautilus and the USS Pargo, while stationed in Groton, CT. He was married to Annemarie in 1975. After being honorably discharged from active duty in 1976, he moved with Anne to Palmyra, NY, where he began a 40+ year civilian career that included process engineering support to various manufacturing firms and managerial support for independent senior living facilities. In 1977 he rejoined the Navy as a reservist, and served an additional 19 years, reaching the rank of Commander. While working full time, serving as a reservist, co-parenting two young girls, and supporting Anne while she obtained her MS, he also obtained an MS in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology.
