SSVC Passing – Kellie Marie Harris, 2007

Good evening Scotland Sisters, Brothers and friends, It is with sadness that I share with you the passing of Kellie Marie Harris, 2007. I copied the following from a facebook post.

Hello, Our names are Kim and Gloria Harris from Philadelphia, PA. We are the sister and mother of Kellie Marie Harris. It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you of her passing on February 23, 2016. Kellie, also a Philadelphia native, grew up in the southwest region of the city. She was a graduate of Scotland School for Veterans’ Children c/o 2007 as well as a student of Temple University majoring in sports management. Kellie had dreams of one day pursing a career as an entertainment attorney. Unfortunately, that long term goal was expectantly cut short. Kellie leaves behind a four year old daughter named Kayla Marie Harris. We have set up a GoFund Me account in hopes to immediately provide a funeral service in honor of Kellie and to seek as much closure and solace for all of Kellie’s friends and loved ones needed to say goodbye. With any remaining donation, our family will create a trust fund for her daughter Kayla in order for her to continue to have a bright future ahead despite the lost of her mother. Our hope is to gather as much help and donations as soon as possible to ensure Kellie gets the peace that she deserved. For those who have had the pleasure of knowing Kellie are well aware of the bright light she had that illuminated whenever she walked into a room. Kellie was an avid cooker, she loved the outdoors and more importantly, she loved helping others whether in a time of need or simply just because. Our family will forever be thankful and indebted to those who support this cause and help by merely donating a small amount. No matter how big or how small every penny will count towards Kayla’s sunrise and Kellie’s sunset. Kellie loved her daughter very much and I know she would not have wanted to leave this world so soon at the young age of twenty-seven. There is no doubt the potential Kellie exuded and she will forever be missed. Thank you for your time and we will have additional information soon for those of you who would like to attend and pay their respects. Thank you again for your time and donations!

At this time I do not have addresses for her family to be able to send condolences. If I am able to obtain I will provide to you.

Please keep Kellie’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
