SSVC Taps: Bryon Miller ’73 passed away 10-20-2020

Good morning,  It is with sadness that I share the news of the passing of Bryon Miller ’73 on October 20, 2020.  At Scotland Byron was on the Swimming and Diving teams.  He was part of the Vocal Ensemble & Senior High Chorus.  He was also a member of the Marching and Stage Bands.  I have many fond and funny memories of Bryon.   He is survived by his brothers Ken ’67 and Kurt ’69.  He was predeceased by his brother Ernie (didn’t attend SSVC).  Thank you for keeping Bryon’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult and sad time. Cards and notes can be sent to Ken & Kurt:

Kurt Miller

Age 65, of Mt. Washington. On Tuesday, October 20, 2020.  Brother of Ken Miller of Turtle Creek, Kurt Miller (the late Brenda) of Rochester, PA and the late Ernie Miller of Rochester, PA; uncle of Heather, Stuart, Aria, and Kurt Miller; also survived by many beloved friends. Byron was a Legal Assistant for many years, working for the U.S. Attorney General’s Office for 15 years and with the Law Firm of Dentons Cohen and Grigsby for 19 years. He was a kind, compassionate and loving soul with a special dedication to older people and animals, especially cats and birds. He enjoyed cooking, reading, researching, the sunshine on hot summer days, the beauty of God’s creation in nature, helping people and learning more about his Catholic faith. Byron and his magnanimous spirit will be missed by the many people he touched. Family and friends invited Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the BRUSCO-FALVO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 214 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington (412-381-2323). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church, Grandview Ave., Mt. Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212-1607. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, you must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Thank you Debbie Schmeider ’73 and Connie Carlin Miller ’73 for sharing the sad news about Bryon.  He will be missed by many.
