Good evening, it is with sadness that I share the news that Earl “Dutchie” Walmer ’56 passed away April 18, 2024. At SSVC Dutchie was the Vice President of his class. He was on the football and baseball team. He was also in the band.
Surviving Dutchie are his sisters Marian Walmer Lancaster ’55 & Arlene Walmer McCleaf ’58 and her husband John McCleaf ’57. Dutchie was predeceased by his wife Arlene Keenan Walmer ’54 (died 11/29/2007), brothers Herbert ’50 (died 8/1/2006), Walter ’52 (10/2/2006) and Harold “Pee Wee” ’53 (died 6/25/2021). Pee Wee was married to Diane Trexler Walmer ’60.
