SSVC Taps: Rev. Dr. Anthony “Tony” DeMarco ’43 passed away 4/16/26

Dear Scotland Family & Friends, 

 

It is with great sadness that I share the news that Rev. Dr. Anthony “Tony” DeMarco ’43 passed away on 4/16/2026.  Tony turned 100 years old on September 2, 2026.  I will share his obituary when it is available.

 

 

Tony along with his sister Julia DeMarco Anthony ’50 attended SSVC.  Next to the good Lord Tony loved Scotland and his Scotland family as did his sister Julie.  He attended many reunions until he was unable to, but he was always there in spirit.  Each year he would provide us with a prayer to get out reunion started.

 

Tony’s course of study was the machine shop.  He was on the track, baseball, basketball & football teams and a member of the “S” Club. He sang in the chorus, church choir, male quartette & Octette.  He was on the yearbook staff.  He a member of the Christian endeavor & Holy Name Society. 

 

Thank you for keeping Julia, Tony’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
